Pinta BAphoto is currently the most prominent art fair in Latin America specializing in photography. Based in Buenos Aires, the fair has established itself as an undisputed reference point for photography, providing a meeting space for artists, curators, specialized critics, collectors, and an increasingly broader audience. Pinta BAphoto has worked to promote the development of photography within the artistic field and to highlight its value on an international level.

For the seventh consecutive year, the masterclass “Preserve or Fictionalize the Archive: Processes and Displacements in Contemporary Photographic Practice” will be held, led by architect and artist Vivian Galban.
Date: Thursday, October 9, 7 PM (ARG) | 6 PM (MIAMI)

At Pinta BAphoto, a wide variety of galleries are exhibited, known for the quality of their proposals, showcasing modern and contemporary artists from different countries whose artistic practices are deeply intertwined with the language of photography.

NEXT | Out of Focus is a platform to promote intergenerational connections, bring together diverse audiences, and share experiences and explorations.

RADAR aims to bring visibility to a generation of mostly mid-career national artists who continue to push the boundaries of language and its various photographic processes, contributing to the expansion of what we understand as contemporary art.

Video Project is the section of Pinta BAphoto exclusively dedicated to moving images.

In this edition, Pinta BAphoto pays tribute to Anatole Saderman (Moscow, 1904 – Buenos Aires, 1993), whose work transformed Argentine photography by combining technical rigor with poetic sensibility. His portraits and visual studies of artists and writers created a body of work that continues to influence contemporary photography both locally and internationally.

As part of the Pinta BAphoto celebration, a series of tributes will be held to honor three major figures of Argentine art: artist and cultural leader Luz Castillo, along with artists Aldo Sessa and Pedro Roth.

Pinta BAphoto has a program of Awards and Acquisitions aimed at supporting artistic practice and encouraging collecting in the photography art market.
