Pinta BAphoto celebrates its 20th anniversary and is currently the most significant specialized art fair in photography in Latin America. Based in Buenos Aires, the fair has firmly established itself as an undisputed reference point for photography, fostering a meeting place for artists, curators, specialized critics, collectors, and an ever-growing audience. Since its foundation in 2005, Pinta BAphoto has been dedicated to promoting the development of photography within the artistic field and enhancing its international standing.

In its latest edition, the proposal aimed to present videos that problematize the relationship of the body with the environment and the notion that in each act of looking there is an expectation of meaning, where what matters is not just to see, but how we process and relate things.

Since 2015, Francisco Medail has been the face of the Artist Tribute section. A program that recognizes the careers of photographers who actively contributed to the field of Argentine photography, with the aim of recovering and highlighting their significance within local history. Among them have passed: George Friedman (2015), Juan Di Sandro (2016), Frans van Riel (2017), Pepe Fernández (2018), Pedro Otero (2019), Foto Estudio Luisita (2020), Lucrecia Plat (2021), Sara Facio (2022), and Boleslaw Senderowicz (2023)
